Korea is now excluded from the earthquake safe zone.
On September 12 2016, an 5.8 earthquake erupted in Gwangju. It was one of the biggest earthquakes happened in Korea since 1978. Around 7:44, a sub earthquake with magnitude of 5.1 occured, and 48 minutes after, the main earthquake, magnitude of 5.8 occured.
The vibration of the main earthquake affected other parts of the world, including Japan and China. Immediately after the earthquake, phone calls, phone messages, and including all kinds of things related to the internet was paralyzed because of some kind of error that the earthquake caused.
A week after this earthquake, a power of 4.5 earthquake erupted and after this shaking, more than 400 aftershocks occured.
As a result of this chaos, about 23 people died and about 1118 people got property damages. The government has now announced that South Korea is now not an earthquake safety zone. They assured the citizens to absorb as much informations about earthquakes as possible in order to prevent second damages after the earthquake.
