He ran to the stream and pulled Blind Sim out of the water. “Thank you, how can I repay you for your kindness?” “You could pay the favor to Buddha. If you give three hundred sacks of rice, you will be able to see again”, said the monk. Upon hear the word, Blind Sim promised to give rice with the monk.
“How can I get three hundred sacks of rice?” Blind Sim sighed every day.
“Father, do you have any worries?”
Blind Sim confessed his promise to the monk.
“Father, don’t worry. I’ll try to prepare the rice.”
Sim Cheong vowed to do anything if she could open her father’s eyes.
One day, sailors came into the village.
“We are looking for a young virgin to sacrifice to the Dragon King. We will give whatever you want.”
